Post-Peel Protocol
What to Expect Right After Your Peel
Don't be alarmed if your skin turns red, feels tight, or sensitivity increases immediately after your chemical peel treatment. Brown skin's darkening and eventual peeling or minor scabs are expected as the peel works its magic. Keep an eye out for these changes and treat your skin gently.
To care for your skin after treatment, follow these simple yet vital steps
Opt for Kindness
Use skin products without perfumes, such as CeraVe or Cetaphil.
Gentle Cleansing
Wash your face carefully in the morning and evening.
Hands Off
Resist picking or pulling at peeling skin to avoid possible scarring.
Patience Pays Off
Steer clear of harsh exfoliants and brushes for the next two weeks.
Mind the Ingredients
Wait until your skin has fully healed before using acids or acne treatments.
When peeling begins, it often starts around the mouth on or after day 3 and makes its way outward. The forehead and outer perimeter of the face are usually the last to shed off.
Here are some extra tips to ensure optimal healing
